John Irwin Himalayan/Tibetan Singing Bowl Concert

April 8 - at 1:00 pm at our school a Himalayan/Tibetan Singing Bowl Concert by John Irwin.

John has collected 18 bowls which he plays exceedingly well. Come and enjoy, meditate or play some T'ai Chi.

We learn lots of adaptive behaviors as children: walking, talking, feeding ourselves, etc. Not surprisingly, some of the things that worked pretty well then can get in our way now when we try to grasp the subtleties of taijiquan and qigong. Decades of repetition have installed them at a deep pre-conscious level, jealously protected by habit and resistant against intervention by the conscious mind.

Most of the time we don’t even know that the cart is leading the horse.

In this seminar, we will examine a few of the most crucial ones and offer some surprisingly simple fixes. More important, we will cover some >techniques to turn this thing around by creating new patterns that dramatically improve coherence, effective power, fluidity, rooting, and confidence.

You don’t have to know taijiquan or qigong to benefit, but if you do, your practice will take off when you include these amazingly effective tools
